9:12 pm - Updating...just remembered...

Hi, remember September 7th? I think it was the 7th. I posted about the people(the 20-23 years olds) who got in that car accident. Well, I forgot to let you all know that because of the prayers, all of those people returned home after a short period of time. For the two in better condition, it was only about a week and a half; the more seriously injured two went home after about 2-2 1/2 weeks. Isn't God wonderful?

4:32 pm

SO this is usually the time of year that I start thinking over everything wonderful that God has done in my life. If you havent done that recently, I encourage you to. I was talking to this guy the other day out on the main campus of the college I go to, and the topic of religion came up. It amazed him how much faith I had in God. And the more and more I talked to him, the more wonderful God seemed to me. I am just finishing up my first semester in college, and although it has all been stressful, it was one of the most awesome expereicens I have ever had. I met so many awesome people, and through it all, my walk with God was strenthened. I had knee surgery less than two weeks ago as a result of saving two victims who were in a car accident, and already I am walking...not very well, but I can walk a bit without crutches. ANd I build up strength walking around campus every day.

But you know one of the msot wonderful things of this year? It actually hasn't happened yet, but I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it. I'm visitng my friend in southern california for a week at the end of December and will spend the new year down there. Not only will I get to hang out with her, but God has given me this wonderful opportunity to speak to her youth group, giving my testimony. I never doubted that God had a plan for me, and never let it faze me wondering why He has "put me through" so mcuh. And now, nearly two and a half years after many thigns have happend in my life, this will be the third church I've spoken at. I've been praying that Gpod will guid me as I speak, and I hope to touch hearts with God's love. I hope that once I step up in front of those people, God's light will shine through me. I also pray that God will give me the courage to not be nervous! lol

I guess I just wanted to share with you all the wonderful things God has done for me. Also, He is keeping my boyfirned safe who is fighting in the Army over in Iraq. God is so awesome. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Happy Holidays and God bless.

10:49 pm - does anything stink anymore?

"Geting out of the grey"

"Doom to you who call evil good and good evil. Who put darkness in place of light and light in a place of darkness..."- Issaiah 5:20

"A person without a value system is like a butterfly in a blizzard"

Six questions that will help you know what's right and whats wrong

Question #1 Do I need this?
Heb, 12:1- lay aside every weight that holds so easily holds you back
There is a bunch of things that wont send you to hell, but will slow you down.

ask yourself this question. Is what im doing holding me back? Is that girl/guy im dateing bringing me closer or further from the lord? if its further then it isnt a good relationship. the person you date should bring you closer to God not pull you farther away. if that isnt your boyfriend/girlfriend then you should probably not date them.

Question#2 - Does it have a positive effect?
1Cor 6:12 - all things are lawful...but not all things are benificial.

hey i know sometimes beating a kid up or for example stoneing someone seems like a lawful thing to do, as it was stated in Gods law but does it have a positive effect? in these situations...no they dont so it's probably wise not to do them.

Question #4- is this something Jesus would do?
1 Jn, 2:6 - anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived.

if its questionable that Jesus would do it, dont do it! its that easy.

Question #5 will it exault the Lord?
1Cor, 10:31- Do it all for the glory of God

hey only do it if God would be happy you did it.

Question #6 if I do this will this set the right example for my Christian friends...?
Romans 14:13- don't do anything to make anouther fellow Christian stumble...

The danger of the disappearing line...

how many times have we pushed the line till there is no more line? where nothing is wrong, and we only do what feels good. We as Christians should not care for things that feel good, but that is good. calture will tell you that what is right for you is right for you and what is wrong for you is wrong for you. this thought process is all wrong the school shooting, child molestation, rape all this is right in there minds so its right, right? you and I know way better then this any sane human would so if we have a concense then it must have been put there, right and wrong is not something that can be made up it is pure it is absolute. We as people have so tarnished our concence that it came to where we always choise the wrong cause it feels right at the moment, but in the long term it is no longer a choice and you no longer can say no dont cross that line. I care for you all way too much so thats why im so real with you God bless~ Ryan

8:48 pm - Prayer request...

Hi, I really need some prayer for a few people: At church tonight I learned about a very unfortunate thing that happened-- 4 people (2 girls, 2 boys) about 20/23 years of age from our church district who my youth
pastor knows got in to a terrible car accident. It's a little complex to explain now but they were in
critical care, and today 2 of them aren't but 2 still are. And one is still unconscious. They're names are Roger, Leslie, Ashley, and James. Ashley and James are the ones who are atill in intensive care. But the good news is that they aren't gettting any worse. :-( The airmen came very quickly to them though, so it was luck--or an angel, however you look at it.

PLEASE PRAY!!!!! My youth pastor had a whole night tonight at our youth group devoted to this.

12:42 am - ......bah

The greatest thing in my life has been losing christ. However, I would like to present a few simple questions/points to you, the members of this community, and get you honest christian opinion on them.
(by the way, I found all the material here at this Ex-Christian Website.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"

Perfection seeks even more perfection?
"What did God do during that eternity before he created everything? If God was all that existed back then, what disturbed the eternal equilibrium and compelled him to create? Was he bored? Was he lonely?
God is supposed to be perfect. If something is perfect, it is complete -- it needs nothing else. We humans engage in activities because we are pursuing the elusive perfection, because there is disequilibrium caused by a difference between what we are and what we want to be. If God is perfect, there can be no disequilibrium. There is nothing he needs, nothing he desires, and nothing he must or will do. A God who is perfect does nothing except exist. A perfect creator God is impossible"

"It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority punishment or reward.
In a nutshell, God had to kill Himself to appease Himself so that He would not have to roast us, His beloved creations, in HELL forever.
He loves us more than we can ever comprehend, but if we don't return His affections, He will make us regret it for eternity."

3:23 pm - Hey!

Hey, my name is 'Becca and I am 14. I live in FL and I am a Freshman in high school. Whoo. I like listening to music and hanging with friends. I like to get on the internaet and talk on the phone. I basically like to do everything a normal teenage girl likes to do. Plus and minus a few things. I have been a Christian for almost 2 years, and haven't regretted a minute of it!

Bands I like:
UnderOATH, Hawk Nelson, Relient K, Superchi[k], Kutless, Skillet, Casting Crowns, and a whole lot more!

Yeah, one other thing. If you are looking to add people to your friends list, you can add me! Well, see ya!

6:08 am - You Will Reap What You Sow

Sorry for the ominous title folks, but it probably helped you click on this message. =P

Hebrews 11:25 "Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;"

People can find pleasure in sin for a season but the pleasure ends sooner rather than later. Just like with Adam and Eve, death did not come the moment they ate the fruit but rather they began to die on that day. Some people receive the wages of sin earlier than others, but it is an inevitable fact of life that we all will die someday unless we are ready at the time of the Rapture.

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:"

I think I will end with talking about Egypt. I'm currently listening to The Prince of Egypt soundtrack and I am reminded of how Egypt was an amazing nation but it was swiftly humbled under the mighty hand of God. It is highly likely that the people of the nation doubted that their country would ever see ruin. However, there came a day when God brought judgement upon Egypt due to their sins against the Children of Israel. God also used His power of judgement to free the Children of Israel from bondage because their cries moved His heart.

The simple fact of the matter is that God's standard of righteousness is perfect, and nothing less. Are you perfectly righteous? Probably not. However, I know this Man named Jesus who is perfect. You might want to ask Him for help if you are lacking in the righteousness department. ;)

"Sin will take you farther than you want to go, make you stay longer than you want to stay, and make you pay more than you want to pay."

12:12 am - Prayers, Scriptures, and Testimonies "Are You A Friend of God?"

So, I'm going to Greenville College on August 26th and I've had the pleasure of talking with my roommate a few times. I'm just a little nervous about getting to college. This past year of high school, I had a little trouble applying myself to my work so please add me to your prayer list because I don't want to procrastinate in college!

My roommate and I have some similar interests and then some other interests are a little different and that is to be expected but I just hope that we get along well. I just pray that we can have deep conversations about God and really be accountable to one another because I've never really had that experience before. :(

I know God is building me up to be a leader, I'm standing upon His promises and I can't wait to find out what He has in store for me. However, I know that it is absolutely necessary to wait upon Him because He knows best. If He gave me everything I ever needed overnight, then I wouldn't be able to handle it all and quite honestly, I would probably start pulling my hair out and screaming a lot. =P

But most importantly, I'm still struggling to make some ends meet on my college tuition. :( I know it's in God's will for me but I still have this debt. I just need prayer. Thanks.

Anyway, I don't want to just burden all of you with prayer requests because I also want to encourage you as well.

You know, our God is so amazing. Just sit back and think sometime about all the knowledge He has. God knows what is happening on every planet, in every galaxy, all the time. He knows the location of every comet, meteor, and star. A little closer to home, God knows the location of every precious stone, every spring, every fish in the sea. Yet, God desires to dwell with us more so than any of those things I've named. God certainly does know the location of all those material things but that's not what He is truly concerned with.

I generally use the King James Version but I think the NIV makes the Scripture more clear here:

John 2:12-18 "After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days. When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!" His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me." Then the Jews demanded of him, "What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?"

2 Corinthians 6:16 "What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."

I hope that speaks to you. It really spoke to me the first time I heard it. If you don't understand, ask God for understanding of what it means because this can only be revealed by help of the Holy Spirit.

Let's learn to stand upon the promises of God and testify about what God has accomplished in our lives. The Word of God says that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

At camp this year, I was called up to the platform during the altar service and the speaker told me, "God told me to tell you that He is going to put leadership skills in your heart and you will lead many." While I am extremely excited about the plans God has given me, I understand that the Word of God also says, "Unto whom much is given, much is also required." I think so many times we want to have BIG results and do BIG things but we must remember that the more we have, the more responsibility that comes along with it. Who knows what God has in store for me...I still don't know what my calling is but I have a general, vague idea.

So, what are some of the promises that God has given you? If God has not spoke something personally into your life, there are tons of promises in His Word that you can cling to!

10:25 pm - Sharing. . .
1andie I'm currently reading Stan Toler's God Has Never Failed Me, But He's Sure Scared Me To Death A Few Times. This is a really good book! I highly recommend this to you guys. :) Anyway, when he's talking about worrying, he added this great verse at the end of the chapter. To quote Stan Toler, "There's a wonderful verse that should be on every Christian's mirror so they can read it first thing every morning and last thing every night. Its imperatives offer simplistic, yet profound methods for dealing with the worries of life."

I worry too much sometimes.. This positive promise really cheered up my soul. :)

The Little Grass Hut..

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for GOD to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.
One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger.
"GOD, how could you do this to me?" he cried. Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island.
It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" Asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because GOD is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering.
Remember that, the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of GOD.

I received this in an e-mail, and thought I'd share. <3

11:33 am - Hello There! Let's Keep The Community Alive!

Hello everyone! My name is Michael, I'm 18 years old, and I have been saved for nearly 6 years (It will be 6 years in October) I figured that I could help younger Christians since it's now summer and I'm totally bored. Feel free to check out my journal, I must admit that it's a little weird. =P

To provoke some discussion, I would like to ask a few questions...

1) Do you think Adam had a bellybutton?

2) Who is your favorite Christian artist/band?

3) What is your favorite book?

4) What is your favorite subject in school?

5) Are you involved in any activities at school? Which ones?

6) How would you describe your Christian worldview (Outlook on life, world events, the way you view yourself, etc.)

I'll go ahead and answer right now

1) Probably not

2) Matthew West for artist and David Crowder Band for band (Obviously)

3) Jesus Freaks by Dc Talk and Voice Of The Martyrs

4) I really like English and Math and I know that's odd. Sorry! =P

5) Well, I graduated this year but I was involved with Speech, Fall Play, Spring Musical, Chorus, Madrigals, Yearbook, Group Interpretation/Contest Play, National Honors Society, and Key Club

6) My Christian worldview encompasses the importance of being humble and real towards sinners. Being humble is important because it helps you remember that you were saved by grace through faith. Also, being real to the people you are trying to witness to is extremely important because sinners are looking for something real, not something artificial that will only last for awhile.

Furthermore, Jesus is coming soon and world events are showing that the Bible is fulfilling ancient prophecies.

Finally, to answer the last part of the question, I don't take myself too seriously because I love to laugh. Just remember that things are NOT as dire as they seem. Be joyful, you have life!

this is a really cool community. i just have one question. what do u do when you're in the spiritual desert?

let me explain. I go on mission trips, retreats, concerts and I can feel the Holy Spirit working throughout things, people, the air. it is the freakiest and coolest thing ever. My favorite moment is when i meet or talk to believers, true believers. but then, i come down the mountain, to everyday life, and i feel nothing

I pray, I read the Bible but I feel like nothing's happening. I know i was just getting caught up in the bright, visible side of the Holy spirit. I also know there are deserts, valleys of shadow, but what do u do to cope w/it?

Has anyone ever felt like that? how do u handle it?
